The Horn space, designed by Alex Buob and realized by Carlos Martinez Architects — whose projects include a collaboration with Pipilotti Rist in St. Gallen — in partnership with André Hellberg, one of Germany’s top 100 garden planners, is conceived as both architecture and sculpture. Terraces act as intermediaries between the building and the lake, creating an ideal setting for outdoor works. Inside, the galleries offer an intimate, light-filled environment that invites slow looking and deep engagement.

“Building an Arthouse on the lake is unique — and just as much a challenge — namely, to create a place dedicated solely to art. In front of the gallery spaces, various terraces are arranged as intermediaries between the building and the lake. These are ideally suited for lingering and for the display of sculptures. The unique view can have an inspiring effect on the way art is perceived.“
